Save Shaffer Chapel

The Shaffer African Methodist Episcopal Church in Muncie, Indiana, has served as a school, a place of worship, a historic landmark, and a vibrant community gathering place since its founding in 1893. 120 years later, though, the aging structure is beginning to show signs of wear, and much repair work is needed in order for the church to remain functional.

Preserving and improving the existing structure is key. The congregation from Shaffer, along with volunteers from Whitely Community Council and many other incredible partners are looking to raise $60,000 for the following projects:
